SHANGHAI, China (CNN) -- When Shi Rui Huan was led through the back entrance of a China Mobile store on the first day of April last year, he had no idea that he was about to be at the center of one of the most significant events in the history of telecommunications in China.

 And he also had no idea that he had just become the victim of the ultimate April Fool's joke. One of his friends had called the day before, told him there was an important meeting he should attend and to be sure to dress up.

It turned out that Shi had been chosen to be the very first person to have the very first subscription ever given out in China for third-generation (3G) mobile phone service. His face appeared in newspapers and on television programs for weeks. Even today he's still known by many as simply "the 3G guy."

DAVOS, Switzerland (Reuters) - China Mobile is still growing despite the recession and plans to buy equipment for its new third-generation network from Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks, its chairman said on Thursday.

Local telecoms equipment makers Huawei Technologies, ZTE and Datang Telecom will likely get the bulk of orders, Chairman Wang Jianzhou told Reuters on Thursday.

The BLD6G21-50 and BLD6G22-50 amplifiers offer ease-of-design while delivering unsurpassed efficiency more than 40 percent at an average power of 10W. This enables 35 percent lower power dissipation under multi-carrier signal operation compared to class AB amplifiers.

Recently, China Mobile built and operate the first TD-SCDMA base station in in Tibet Lhasa, as well as demonstrate the first TD-SCDMA call which break down the history of TD-SCDMA operating in Tibet.
