China's first TD-SCDMA mobile tender results have been released, six enterprises have been won out in this tender, in which the Xin youtong is the biggest winner, Lenovo and Hisense tied for second, ZTE ranks fourth, Moreover, involved in TD-SCDMA mobile phone chipset manufacturers, Spreadtrum is the biggest winner.
The above information has not been confirmed by China Mobile. However, according to the industry consulting firm research report from "Three dian advice" , also confirmed that China's first TD-SCDMA mobile tender amount has been finally set to 60000, that means, China Mobile finally using 60,000 TD-SCDMA mobile phones and internet cards. Prior to this, in December 2007, China Mobile announced the tender number should be 40,000, including 30,000 TD-SCDMA mobile phones and 10,000 TD-SCDMA internet cards.
The result of tender carried out after six TD-SCDMA network venders have obtained the TD-SCDMA network permits (commonly known as a licence). Earlier, because of Putian and ZTE corporation construct the Qinhuangdao TD-SCDMA network, and MII( Telecommunication Research Institute) organized TD-SCDMA field trials at Qinhuangdao where has been China Mobile’s most satisfied TD-SCDMA network building city, there are six TD-SCDMA Enterprise win out at field trials, then China Mobile published the final tender result according to the result of Qinhuangdao field performance test.
It is learnt that one of the six vendors, Xin youtong is the biggest winner that has obtained the 21000 TD-SCDMA terminal orders; Lenovo has obtained 10,500 TD terminal contract; Hisense also the same 10,500; fourth is ZTE communications, has obtained 9000. Samsung and LG have obtained total of 9,000, most of the above vendors used Datang mobile and Spreadtrum’s chip solution.
